I'm 29 years old and was exposed to Social D when they started playing Ball and Chain on 120 Minutes back in late 1990 and saw them first in Feb. '91 on the Neil Young tour.

I went to the concert as a Sonic Youth fan and the next day at school my history teacher was talking about the concert and how bad Sonic Youth sucked and that Social D was okay.

He sure was right.

Hey, Didn't SD do an appearance on the Wally George show once? Maybe that was just a dream.

i thought that show on USA network was called "night flight". Either way, i remember taping "another state of mind" off that show. Funning thing was, that was before i ever liked Social D. I remember seeing that movie because i really was into Minor Threat and i had to sit through nearly an hour and a half before the segments with Ian came on. It wasnt for another 2 or 3 years before i appreciated Social Distortion.

New album kicks butt, BUT it could have been better. So far a standout is "Winners and Losers"...I can relate to it's lyrical content.

Here our story about "how long, how old".
We are tween sisters, 22 years old. We are fans of rockabilly, started from punk in 14. Drummer of our central (from Ukraine) punkabilly band MAD HEADS - Bob act a little role in clip of another band (about wild west). He get this video and put on tape another soundrack - Mike Ness's "Gambling man". So we sitting and watching this clip and going crazy! Asking Bob - What a cool song! Who is this? Bob says - Chicks, I really didn't give to you Mike Ness CD? SHAME & DISGRACE!!!
And we get 2 Ness's solo albums - became fans. We reached 3 Social D CD and it was grate too.We listened SD only above 1,5 year but love to this band force out others.

I'm 91 and if you don't believe me, just ask KoF. To call me a late bloomer would be an extreme understatement. I didn't start listening until I was 87 back in 2000 and I didn't see my first show until 1/01.

I'm in my forties, was part of the street scene in the late seventies (on and off). I got back to listening to punk rock in the nineties, and really got into Social D when I saw their Rockpalast show on German television ...
